City coasts past Liverpool.

1.Brilliant Bruno

Manchester United’s form since Bruno’s arrival from Sporting last January is a clear indicator of his impact on the club. He capped the win mid-week man of the match performance with a goal and 2 assists. United’s talisman has already contributed 12 goals and 9 assist in 22 outings this season. If United somehow wins the league this season then clearly Bruno has a key role to play.

2.Ole ruthless tactics

During halftime, Manchester United led Southampton by 4 goals. If Ole wanted, he could have rested key players and played to conserve the ball. But Instead, Man United opted to go for an all-out attack. The Red Devils showcased the type of football that’s missing since Ferguson departed in 2012. Ole finds himself secure at the job at Old Trafford, though fans would expect some silverware in the near future.

3.Reliable Rashford

Marcus Rashford surpassed Eric Cantona’s tally of goals for the club. He has spent over 6 years at the club now, breaking from the fringes. In the last few seasons, Rashford has been a regular starter in the first team. With Man United chasing local rivals City for their 21st league title, it’s of utmost importance that he stays fit.

4.Magical Martial

Critics were questioning Martial’s recent goal drought and his performances. To provide Martial with some game time Ole substituted him in the second half in place of Rashford. He ended up scoring 2 goals which would boost his confidence immensely.

5.Horrendous Hasenhüttl

For the second time in the past two seasons, Southampton has been routed by 9-0. Firstly, it was at the hands of Brenden Rodger’s Leicester City back on Oct 26, 2019. In their mid-week demolition by the hands of Man United, some Saint’s fans are questioning whether Hasenhüttl is the right man for the job. Southampton finds themselves in the midtable at 29 points from 12 games. They are currently on a 4 match losing streak and Hasenhüttl must improve the results to stay away from a relegation fight.
